GENERAL

Are you registered to do business?

Most definitely! We officially registered our business in the lovely state of California on April 2011. Everything is privately owned and funded, so we have absolutely no debt!

Do you have any long-term goals?

We are in it for the long haul and want to continue providing a foundation for everyone to be able to grow their personal or business projects. We're continuously developing and implimenting new ideas and we believe this will never stop happening.

What service(s) do you currently offer?

We primarily offer hosting services for Minecraft, but we also dabble in web-hosting and voice hosting as well. We will be expanding our services into Virtual Private Servers in early 2012.

Is BeastNode a big company?

We're large enough to be self-sustained and running problem free, but we're also small enough to be able to interact with each and every client on a personal level. It's amazing to be able to connect with each client and to be able to build a relationship.

SERVERS

Where are your [Minecraft] servers located?

We have hardware spread throughout the United States and internationally in Paris. Since our primary service is Minecraft, we feel it is important to spread our supported locations throughout the globe so everyone can have the best connectivity possible.

Where are your [Web Hosting] servers located?

Our web hosting servers are all centralized in the datacenter capital of the United States - Dallas, TX. Web hosting is not as latency sensitive as game servers or voice servers, so we keep it simple by leaving it in one place. Whether you're domestic, or international, there is no doubt there is great connection world-wide.

Where are your [Voice Servers] servers located?

Similar to our web hosting servers, our voice servers are also located in Dallas, TX. We plan on expanding these locations in the near future, but our currently since this is a free service, we are trying to keep it simple and centralized in one location.

What type of [Minecraft] hardware do you use?

All servers are powered by the new Sandy Bridge Intel Xeon E3 series processors since Minecraft benefits more from higher clock speeds. We also understand that Minecraft is very I/O hungry, which is why each server is also equipped with Intel enterprise-grade solid state drives to feed the need.

What type of [Addon] hardware do you use?

Our web hosting servers are pretty beastly and similar to our game servers, only utilize Intel Xeon grade processors. However, addons (DNS servers, web-hosting, etc.) are not very I/O intensive, which is why we run our web hosting setups in a RAID-10 setup for maximum performance and redundancy.

What type of [Voice Servers] hardware do you use?

Even though hosting voice servers utilize no load, we still power each server on Intel Xeon series processors to keep performance up - even if we're offering it for free!

BILLING

What payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept PayPal and Google Checkout. However, we're currently in the process of contracting with a credit card merchant.

Can you explain your billing method?

We generally offer our services on a month-to-month basis, but we have a quarterly option for those who just want bulk payment. We try to keep it simple with monthly transactions because we want you to stay because you enjoy our services, not because you're tied down.

What is your refund policy?

We provide 7-day money back guarantee for Minecraft and a 30-day guarantee for web-hosting. If it is after the deadline, the refund will be pro-rated.

Are there any contracts?

Absolutely not! There are NO contracts or hidden fees with our services. You can cancel your service(s) at any time of the month without penalty.

OTHER

Where did "BeastNode" come from?

We used to be called "GSVerse", but we thought the name was too complicated and didn't really roll off the tongue. We wanted a future-proof name, so we collaborated with our client community through IRC and thus BeastNode was born - a name stewed from the community for the community.

Do you oversell your services?

Most definitely not! Overselling only occurs when one wants to make more money or trying to cut corners. We're definitely against this method which is why all our servers are capped off and load balanced to prevent this from happening.

How are you so cheap?

Our pricing is efficiently based off a point where we can maximize earnings while comfortably providing great service, support and those free perks. And through our growth, we've acquired a great relationship with our providers, thus lowering our costs - thus lowering your costs.

What is your working environment like?

Our environment is very free and not confined. We encourage our employees to freely express themselves and not feel tied down. We're always discussing new ideas and figuring out ways how to impliment them - ultimately seeing it become reality.
